THE PFAS PROBLEM

Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances

REGULATIONS

Increasing National Awareness, Testing, and Research

States are leading the way for PFAS regulations:

  • 26 States provide some level of guidance
  • 20 States require public notification above concentration thresholds
  • 7 States require site remediation above concentration thresholds

National EPA Scrutiny is Increasing

  • New health advisories for PFOA, PFOS, GenX, and PFBS (June 2022)
  • Target to implement enforceable national limits by end of 2023
Compound EPA Health Advisory Level
(parts per trillion)
PFOA 0.004 (Interim)
PFOS 0.02 (Interim)
GenX 10 (Final)
PFBS 2,000 (Final)

Field Performance – Continuous and Semi-Batch

DMAX is unique in our field proven destruction and degradation of hundreds of thousands of gallons of PFAS contaminated water.
In continuous flow operation, long-chain PFAS, (particularly PFOA and PFOS), have been destroyed below target levels while maintaining strong throughput.
In the semi-batch process, DMAX has shown removal of PFAS precursors and long-chains in a matter of minutes

In House Analysis and Treatment

Send your contaminated water to DMAX Plasma for characterization, analysis, and bench-scale treatment.

Our facilities in Potsdam, NY are equipped to receive your contaminated water for analysis, characterization, and on-site treatment.
Whether it’s a first step in determining how to deal with your PFAS contaminated site, or your one-stop solution for small scale treatments, our in-house labs offer a variety of services to meet your PFAS remediation needs.

MTT-4

DMAX’s first Mobile Treatment Trailer to use a two-reactor design.

Designed for higher throughput continuous flow through treatment, the reactors can also be run in series or parallel. Alternatively, the system can be recirculated in a semi-batch process.

MTT-4 – Interior Equipment

MTT-3

Flexible single ECo-PRe mobile water treatment trailer for any application.

Designed for flexibility in the field, MTT-3 can treat larger volumes in flow through operation or treat smaller volume PFAS concentrates in a batch reactor of appropriate size.

  • Flexible System for Various Treatment Needs
  • Continuous Flow-Through Operation
  • Smaller Scale Batch Operation

Custom Engineered System

If you require a long-term treatment solution, our team has the design and engineering expertise to build custom systems for specific applications, train operating personnel, and provide regular maintenance.

Modular & Mobile Systems

For customers who require short or long-term use, a modular treatment system can be configured for easy transport, set-up, and operation.

Permanent In-place Solutions

For site applications requiring long-term PFAS treatment, an ECo-PRe™ system can be custom designed and built to provide optimal treatment as either a stand-alone solution, or part of a broader treatment train system. System controls and monitoring can be designed as either semi or fully autonomous.
